FOR ALL ASSIGNMENTS, your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams, learning the skills you need to carry out your assignment. You will then travel to the field to spend your summer carrying out the task you've prepared for. At the end of the summer, travel back to a joint debrief, sharing all that God has done. ​It is required that all participants attend orientation & debrief.

​SOUTH AFRICA: URBAN MUSLIM OUTREACH

Field cost:  $1910 plus round trip airfare, immunizations, required travel insurance, passport & visa costs, etc.
The main job will be as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher among adult Muslims. Through your role as a teacher, you will meet many Muslims, build relationships with them, and have opportunities to share the gospel with them, their friends, and their families. It is our desire that you enter this situation as an open learner, willing to hear about their culture, faith, and language. At the same time you are learning about their faith, you can seek opportunities to share yours.

UGANDA: BUSH MISSIONARY

Team members must have proof of Covid-19 vaccine
​​Have the full Karamajong Bush experience. Join a team of bush missionaries who are willing to go out & do whatever it takes to take the Gospel into some very difficult places & peoples. Learn to use Chronological Bible Storying to evangelize & disciple. Also be involved in a simple organic church. We have the unique opportunity to live among & do life with the people of Karamoja on a daily basis. Some days are difficult, but the great days make the difficult ones worth it.
