FOR ALL ASSIGNMENTS, your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams, learning the skills you need to carry out your assignment. You will then travel to the field to spend your summer carrying out the task you've prepared for. At the end of the summer, travel back to a joint debrief, sharing all that God has done. It is required that all participants attend orientation & debrief.

SPORTS, REFUGEES & VUNERABLE WOMEN OUTREACH (MOZAMBIQUE)46747 Team of 2 girls FULL!!
Field cost: $2459 plus round trip airfare, immunizations, required travel insurance, passport & visa costs, etc. Do you have a passion for sports ministry, refugee outreach, vulnerable women, and ESL classes? Come spend your summer being mentored and proclaiming the gospel to a predominately lost Muslim community in East Africa. Serve alongside this team as we engage unreached peoples who have been displaced by violence. Use your heart language to teach English and build relationships alongside us for the sake of the Gospel. Instruct and help develop a sports ministry to impact the youth in the city. You will work alongside other young missionaries, experienced families, and their team of national partners, to engage those who have never heard the true Gospel. You will not only share the gospel with men, women, youth, and children but also guide and support new believers as they deepen their understanding of God's Word and grow in their faith. Field cost: $2368 plus roundtrip airfare, immunizations, required travel insurance, passport & pre-trip visa costs, etc. Side by side with Malawian believers, invest in the lives of Malawian college students and young people on university campuses in some of the most beautiful places in the country, Mzuzu and Zomba. Work alongside an experienced IMB family and national believers as you do strategic research on university campuses and team with national partners to share the gospel, disciple those who believe, and link disciples to local churches among the most critical population segment in the country. Field cost: $2425 plus roundtrip airfare, immunizations, required travel insurance, passport 7 pre-trip visa costs, etc. Summer long trips are a great way to get your feet wet in international missions. Arua offers a rural setting with access to working with the Borderlands team among Sudanese and South Sudanese refugees. Primary opportunities will be evangelism, teaching, and bible storytelling in various settings with the resident missionaries. REFUGEE WOMEN'S MINISTRY (UGANDA)47458 Team of 4 girls FULL!!!
Field cost: $4900 plus roundtrip airfare, immunizations, required travel insurance, passport & pre-trip visa costs, etc. Team members can expect to travel in IMB personnel vehicles or tuk-tuk around Arua. Accommodations include hotel-like rooms or an air bnb type rental while in Arua with Western amenities. In Arua, we are currently serving refugees from Sudan through ESL, theological education, and discipleship. Team members would be expected to teach alongside resident missionaries. In the refugee settlements, we are currently serving multiple groups of South Sudanese refugees. There will be times when team members will be required to travel to the refugee settlement on rough roads for the day. Our goals in both settings include: 1. Teach the word of God to those who are already followers of Jesus. 2. Share the gospel in settings where non-believers are present. 3. Do life with those who we minister to. 4. Work alongside resident missionaries in physical and non-physical projects, such as working on water wells. |
