Brazil is the largest country in South America, both in population and land mass. Due to centuries of Portuguese influence, Brazil has more Roman Catholics than any other country in the world (123 million). There are also a number of small, unreached people groups in the Amazon rainforest adhering to traditional, ethnic religions. Still, 25% of Brazil's population are evangelical Christian. Prayer points: - Pray that Roman Catholics would understand that no amount of good works will save them, and they need to put their faith in Christ alone for salvation. - Pray that the small unreached tribes in the Amazon jungle will be reached with the Good News. - Pray for endurance and encouragement for long-term missionaries to Brazil. - Pray that God will spark a revival so strong, that Brazilians will be the ones carrying the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
