Laos is located in the center of the Indochinese Peninsula in Southeast Asia. It's a sparsely populated country of only 7.6 million residents. This is due to how mountainous and rugged the countryside is. Similar to its neighboring countries, Laos is a very Buddhist country. Many Lao also worship/appease spirits, and some worship their ancestors. Due to how rugged Laos is, it often proves difficult to reach remote villages with the gospel. Prayer points: - Pray for Lao to give up their beliefs in Buddhism and spirit worship, and to put their trust in Jesus. - Pray for missionary pioneers to forego comfort, and do whatever it takes to bring the gospel to the remotest villages. - Pray for fortitude and strength for Lao believers, who are often persecuted and endure intense hardship for their faith.
