​FOR ALL ASSIGNMENTS, your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams, learning the skills you need to carry out your assignment. You will then travel to the field to spend your summer carrying out the task you've prepared for. At the end of the summer, travel back to a joint debrief, sharing all that God has done. ​It is required that all participants attend orientation & debrief.

PHILIPPINE SUMMER

Multiple teams are needed in the Philippines! Cross land & sea to share the Gospel in villages where spiritual darkness abounds. The people have been led astray by the Enemies lies & it's time they knew the truth of the Gospel & the Savior that came for them. In areas where the Gospel has been skewed & distorted and is now nearly unrecognizable, you will be sharing Truth with many who have never heard it told correctly. Work alongside local believers to share Biblical truth with people who may have never owned a Bible or read it for themselves. With the goal of making disciples & the hopes of planting a church, you will be a part of a greater team effort to reach the lost by going into less-accessible areas via motorbike, boat & on foot.
Large group of students will be divided into smaller ministry teams and sent to various locations throughout the country.

PHILIPPINE MEDIA INTERNS

Field cost: $1290 plus round trip airfare, passport costs, immunizations, required travel insurance, etc.
In partnership with other Philippine teams, spend your summer sharing what God is doing through their daily ministries. You'll travel between the teams, sharing their daily lives & stories through blog posts & capturing media clips. You'll be involved in evangelism... always ready to share THE story with someone who hasn't heard.

PHILIPPINE AGRICULTURE (CEBU)

Field cost: $1390 plus roundtrip airfare, immunizations, required travel insurance, passport costs, etc.
Work hard to produce a harvest! This is a motto of many farmers... as a "mission farmer" this summer, you'll be planting more than just physical seeds! You’ll spend the first week of your time in country getting specific training at the Mindanao Baptist Rural Life Center in Southern Mindanao. Then you’ll move to the island of Cebu for your summer’s ministry. Spend your summer working on a training/demonstration farm in the Central Philippines. While working alongside national partners, you'll learn practical ways to help develop the countryside through simple yet practical farming techniques. Your weekends will be spent in local communities, sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ... working alongside the local church through training in evangelism & missions. 

BASKETBALL & JESUS

Go from village to village, playing basketball, showing the Jesus film and sharing Christ with hundreds. You will also disciple new believers. Live out of your bag, wash your clothes by hand, and sleep wherever a door is opened. Be a part of the next wave of Nehemiah Teams obeying the Great Commission. In partnership with IMB missionaries & national church planters, you will become a part of Filipino culture, make friends through sports, and make disciples in this very hard place.

EVANGELISM TEAM BICOL

An evangelism team is needed in the Philippines! Cross land & sea to share the Gospel in villages where spiritual darkness abounds. In areas where the Gospel has been skewed & distorted and is now nearly unrecognizable, you will be sharing Truth with many who have never heard it told correctly. Work alongside local believers to share Biblical truth with people who may have never owned a Bible or read it for themselves. Come alongside and help run Youth Events to rise up young leaders and grow the youth in their faith. Live out of your bag, wash clothes by hand, and sleep wherever a door is opened. With the goal of making disciples & the hopes of planting a church, you will be a part of a greater team effort to reach the lost by going into less-accessible areas via motorbike, tricycle, boat & on foot. 

SKATEBOARD & JESUS

Spend your summer skateboarding in a public skate park building relationships with young people and sharing the gospel. You will also disciple new believers. Live out of your bag, wash your clothes by hand, and sleep wherever a door is opened. 
Be a part of the next wave of Nehemiah Teams obeying the Great Commission. In partnership with IMB missionaries & national partners, you will become a part of Filipino culture, make friends through sports (skateboarding), and make disciples among unevangelized youth who don’t have the hope of eternal life.
